Editorial policy

Editorial policy

The rules HaveDrama applies to every page: neutrality, disclosure, sourcing, people, removals and corrections. The same rules apply to every title, and nothing on the site is sponsored.

Neutrality

Identical rules apply to every title. Charts, scores, best-of lists, similar modules and the index gate are computed by the formulas published below, with no manual overrides and no exception for any app, studio or partner. A title’s origin never changes how it is ranked, scored or listed.

No sponsored or featured slots

There are no sponsored, featured or promoted modules anywhere on the site. Charts, lists, similar modules and search results are organic, and no app, studio or title can buy a placement, a label or a link.

No paid placements in rankings

We do not sell positions in charts, best-of lists, similar modules or search results, and we do not accept payment to index, hold or remove a record. Partnerships (see the contact page) never change what the data says.

Facts from data only

Every number and fact is drawn from our catalogue data: the apps’ public listings and displayed counters, verified and dated, plus our structured editorial analysis. We do not publish rumours, estimates, or figures we cannot date and attribute to a public listing. When a fact is unknown the page says so.

How charts, scores and lists are computed

Every ranking on this site follows one of the rules below, applied identically to every title. Nothing is hand-picked and no platform gets a boost.

Overall score (0 to 100)
The average of the four editorial analysis scores (hook strength, addictiveness, payoff promise and likelihood to keep watching, each from 1 to 10), multiplied by 10. Only analysed titles have one. It is an editorial measure, never a user rating, and is never marked up as one.
Weekly charts
For each tracked app, titles are ordered by the app’s own primary displayed counter (views, or likes where the app shows no view count) at the last snapshot of the ISO week, Monday to Sunday, UTC. Change is the previous week’s rank minus this week’s rank: positive means the title climbed, and a new entry shows no change. Weeks on chart counts every week the title has appeared on that app’s chart; peak is its best rank ever. Charts are global, with no country split, and are refreshed every Monday.
Rising
The entries with the largest positive change in the latest week.
Best-of lists
Each title gets a value out of 100: half its overall score (50 when no analysis exists), three tenths its chart component and two tenths its availability. The chart component is 8 points for every week on any app’s chart, plus 50 minus its best peak rank (never below zero), capped at 100. Availability is 100 when the title is live on two or more apps, otherwise 50. Ties go to the most recent first listing. Each entry shows the component that contributed most as its one-line reason.
Similar titles
A candidate earns 3 points for each trope it shares with the title, 2 for a shared genre, 3 for the same studio and 1 when both are live on the same app. A match counts as strong at 6 points or more, and the reason shown under each title is generated from those shared facts.
Complete records and the index
Each record gets a completeness score from its verified facts. On apps whose whole catalogue fits under the per-app cap, every title with a verified live listing and a summary is eligible; on larger apps a record must reach the pass mark. Eligible titles are released per app, highest demand first (chart weeks, peak rank, displayed counter, score), up to a cap per app, so small catalogues are shown in full and large ones show their top titles first. The batch released each week grows an app’s catalogue by at most 20%. Lists, hubs and catalogues show complete records only.

No copied synopses

We never copy platform descriptions or third-party synopses. Each summary is produced from the structured fields of the record and checked against it before publication; see how summaries are produced. Spoiler sections, where they exist, are written by us and hidden by default.

No piracy links

Watch links go to the official app or site of the platform that lists the title, and nowhere else. We do not link to mirrors, downloads or unofficial streams, and we remove any such link reported to us.

People pages

A person’s page holds professional facts only: credited roles, the titles they appear in, official links they provide, and public professional aliases. No private life, no contact details, no speculation. A people page exists only when three or more credits on indexed titles are confirmed. People can claim their page to correct it, and can ask for it to be removed.

Removal on request

A person, a rights holder or a platform can request a removal. We act within 48 hours of a verified request. Removed pages return a permanent “gone” status so search engines drop them. What we remove and what we keep is detailed on the corrections and takedown page.

Corrections policy

Anyone can report an error. We check it against the public listing or our records, correct it within 48 hours of confirmation, and the record’s “facts last updated” date changes. Material corrections to a published insight are noted at the top of the story with the date. A past chart week is changed only when the snapshot behind it was wrong, never to improve a title’s position.

How summaries are produced

Summaries are assembled only from the record’s structured fields, so they cannot state a fact the record does not hold. Before publication each summary is checked field by field against the record; a summary that fails the check is not published, and the record stays out of the index. Summaries never quote app text.

AI crawlers

Our pages are published for people and for the search engines that bring them here; search crawlers are welcome. Automated agents and AI systems may read a page to answer a question if they identify themselves, respect robots.txt and reasonable rates, and attribute and link to the page they used. Bulk collection of the database for training or republishing is not permitted. Where we want data reused, we will publish it ourselves as downloadable datasets in Insights. robots.txt is the authoritative list of what each agent may fetch (indexing opens at launch).
